Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Midland, TX (Remote)
Type: Full-Time

The Field Service Technician is responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of oil and natural gas processing equipment. Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.

Overview: Performs maintenance and repair activities on dehydrators, BTEX condenser, flares, heater treaters, etc., on customers’ locations. Demonstrate proficiency in accurately troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical problems on multiple gas processing pieces of equipment.

Generally, understands all processes and systems of how a dehydrator, condenser, and BMS equipment work. General understanding of the customers’ production equipment, scrubbers, vessels on and off skid.

Typically, at least 4 years experience with dehydration equipment and a working knowledge of multiple components or parts, liquid level controllers, motor valves, liquid pumps, etc.

This position will require the applicant to respond to after-hour call-outs. Show a track record of performing preventative maintenance with little or no guidance and perform most call-outs without assistance from a technical expert.

Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs, and vertical ladders. Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and stand with good balance. Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills. Communicating directly with the customer gathering pertinent information about the job and equipment and an understanding of the company’s maintenance program. Develop and provide Scope of Work, cost proposals, and field reports in a timely manner.

Familiar with; Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

Complete and submit company required documentation, field service report, timesheet, expense report, etc., in an accurate and timely fashion. Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by the role.

Applicant must show a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.

This position may require travel and overnight stays outside the normal work area.
