Lact Units
LACT Unit is a system used to measure the volume and quality of crude oil and petroleum products during the transportation of the fluids from production sites aka Leases. They can be used at any point where the ownership of the oil is transferred but usually from the producer to the transporter. Transportation is done primarily by trucks or pipelines. LACT is an acronym for Lease Automatic Custody Transfer.
